A delicate, incandescent purple flower with three petals, Bush Iris flowers for just a day, with blossoms emerging sequentially from a woody husk.
One day you can walk through a field of Bush Iris, the next day there is not a one to be seen. I always think this flower reminds us that life is fleeting and precious, and we need to treasure every moment for the beauty contained within it.
I have given Bush Iris to many people as they have been passing over and seen them first hand have ‘a beautiful death’.
Many family members also find this essence brings great comfort as they watch a loved one decline, and have told me that watching the change this essence has wrought has removed their own fear of death.
For the freshly bereaved, who have little or no belief in the hereafter, Bush Iris can also help enormously.
